Foscam and IP Camera

I just got a Foscam FI9826W wireless camera and desperatly want to use it with Yawcam, because the built in foscam software is a piece of junk. I have a USB camera connected right now that works fine, but I can't seem to get the magic formula to get the IP camera to connect. Right now I have 192.168.1.19:88/video.cgi and username and password, but still no joy.

Can anyone help me out, I think the commands changed when they went to the .264 HD ability of this camera.

Thanks

Bump..any help?

Also, I can not seem to get my Foscam to do HD 720 resolution without the preview and stream dispalys getting a lot of grey at the bottom of the screen. Is there any way to fix this..feels like I've messed with everything in settings...

Try using
http://192.168.1.19:88/video.cgi?user=U ... d=PASSWORD
or
rtsp://192.168.1.19:88/videoMain

Any joy with that? Other possible solution I stumbled across: install WebcamXP, let its "Add Camera Wizard" find your camera, configure it, exit WebcamXP, restart Yawcam, and hey presto: it'll list and connect to your camera. Don't ask me why this works, but it did the trick for my Foscam FI8918W. Weird side effect: if you go to the cam's settings in Yawcam it'll show you them in the config screen from WebcamXP.

Good luck

I have tried both of those, and while they seem to work for the MJPEG cameras like yours, they do not work for the H.265 model like mine..

Give IP Camera Viewer a try. It's a great little product that lets you view your cams quickly and for free. The interface is intuitive and it works well with every model of IP & USB camera. It complete supports all the Foscam IP cameras.

FosCam now has a way for H264 cameras to output the std mjpeg. See there thread on the topic
