Yawcam

Im having trouble with yawcam on launch.

It used to work fine. Had it going for 3 days no problem.

for no apparent reason, now, when i open it up, the splash screen comes up, it searches through devices, then closes again, like a crashclose. it isnt sitting in process, just disappears.

I have tried

unnstall reinstall of java
uninstall reinstall yawcam (including deleting the .yawcam directory)
uninstall reinsall webcam drivers

anything else anyone can suggest?

OH ive also tried to launch with vid cap card disabled and webcam unplugged

It sounds like there is a device or its drivers that cause Yawcam to crash at startup.
As you are already in to, the best way to recover from this, is to first locate what device is causing the problem.

Are you sure you disconnected all video devices from you computer?
Even if it's not that common, also audio devices could cause problems. Can you try to start Yawcam with also the audio devices disconnected?
