Could not find Java on the system error code 9009

After the latest version of Java was released (Version 8 Update 121), when launching Yawcam I recieve and error message that says "Could not find Java on the system. Please reinstall Java. Error code: 9009". I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Java... that did not work.
I have also consulted some other posts on the Yawcam forum that described similar scenarios however those fixes did not work.
I currently have Java 8 Update 121 (32-bit) and Java 8 Update 121 (64-bit) installed on my PC running Win10 Pro.
Does anyone have some advice for me? I use Yawcam frequently for making training videos. Thank you.
