Re: streaming image isn't live

Not sure of your issue, but your live stream seems to be working for me... I even saw a bird feeding on the seeds. :D I didn't see any noticeable problem with your streaming.

Re: Can't get online no matter what I do.

I'm stumped, and I've just one final suggestion... Since you've manually forwarded the ports, try disabling UPnP in both the router configuration and Yawcam settings--just in case if there's any conflict and/or incompatibility.

Re: Can't get online no matter what I do.

Yes, WAN IP = Public IP, just want to double check. :) I'm unfamiliar with the D-Link DSL-225 router, but a quick scan of its user manual seems to indicate that there may be two possible built-in firewalls that could interfere with access. You might thoroughly check the router's configuration settin...

Re: Can't get online no matter what I do.

If only we're mindreaders, troubleshooting would be so much simpler... ;)

Does your PC have any anti-virus program(s) running its own firewall?

Did you verify that your actual WAN IP address matches the external IP displayed by Yawcam?

Re: Can't get online no matter what I do.

Is 51.210.188.58 your actual IP? You're trying to access Yawcam on a Government network? I don't think they would let you have access--major security risk, external network access is typically blocked. FYI.

Re: Can't get online no matter what I do.

I'm unsure but I believe there may be a bug in the IP address detected and provided by Yawcam. The IP address provided by Yawcam on my stream is incorrect and not the actual IP. You might try a test by detecting your actual IP via: https://www.iplocation.net/ Then try to access using this IP along w...

Re: Yawcam 0.5.0 RELEASED!

If your PC is running Windows XP , then read the following post for guidance: http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4528#p12472 Otherwise, try uninstalling Yawcam plus all instances of Java, and reboot PC. Then perform a fresh install of the latest version of Java first, and follow by a fr...

Re: New Install, startup hangs on "loading device"

Maybe this might offer some insight, give it a try... - Run the following batch file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Yawcam\debug_start.bat - Click Yes to allow UAC permission - Yawcam should start... - Exit/Close Yawcam - Examine the newly created log file for possible issue(s): C:\Users\ account_name \Des...

Re: Just stopped working

Most of these cheap no-name 'active' cables from China are unreliable and of poor quality. Even if they work as claimed, they cannot be use for connecting passive USB devices such as webcams. These cables are designed and intended for active (self-powered) devices such as USB printers. Verify that t...

Re: Just stopped working

How are you implementing the "50 foot USB extension"? Are you using active or passive USB extension cable(s)? Are you using a separate AC powered USB hub to power the USB camera? Running USB connection over such a distance is problematic...

Re: Tablet Cam detected but can not connect

In the Yawcam's 'Ip Camera settings...' pop-up window: 1) Enter into the 'URL to Ip Camera:' field as follows: http://[LAN Address]:[Port#]/video e.g., http://192.168.1.111:22222/video 2) If there's 'Security' configured for the IPwebcam, then tick on the 'Use password to connect to ip camera.' opti...

Re: Possible to add the stream adress to the Alert email?

What's the reason for not using a DDNS update client and accessing the stream via a corresponding domain name? I have a DSL connection with dynamic IPs, and that's how I remotely access my stream, router and PCs. I find this to be the simplest and most reliable approach.
