Aha.. you are using the router as a switch.
Now things are getting clearer :D

Then it should work if you redirect the ports on your linux server :?
I hope the evening's testing went out well...

I redirect port 8081 in Linux servers firewall to my Yawcam machine. Should also 8021 be redirected? Yes it should. Both ports have to be redirected. Should I put in the IP from Internet (217.209.88.16) or the local adress (192.168.0.1) or the "www.r129.info" adress? It will work with eit...

I suppose that your linux server is connected to the Internet and that you share the internet connection via NAT (Network Address Translation). Is this correct? In that case you have to open (sometimes called to map) the used ports from you server to the local machine where you run Yawcam. (The defa...

Yes, I noticed this. It's very annoying.

I'll try to fix it to the next release.
The biggest problem is to make this new option to fit in the settings dialog

No, not at the moment, but I can easily add file types in the next release. I promise to add support for .js :D

No, the address don't have to be an IP, it can be Canonical . I don't know if it would work with a subdomain. This has to do with the security policy for java applets. I'll try to google and see what i can find. I think the easiest way to find out the answer, is to actually test if it works. (If you...

I like your ideas! Motion detection with an area mask is something I have to add to the "to do list". Alarm handling sounds nice too. But I think multiple cameras will have to wait for some time... In the beginning I had thoughts about releasing Yawcam as open source software, but I decide...

Because of security reasons an applet can't load the image data from a computer different from that it was downloaded from. This means that the webpage and the computer where you run Yawcam must have the same address. One way to avoid this problem is to use the build-in webserver in Yawcam. Then the...

I'm afraid the short answer is: NO. But, it might work if you ran multiple instances of Yawcam. (One for each camera.) The only problem with that is that you will probably get errors because of the shared settings file. To solve this you have to make an installation for each camera. (Each installati...

2) The capture window, which one is that? The capture window, is almost the same as the preview window... You can open it from the menu in the main window. ( window -> capture ) Those log files sound like interesting reading. I'm looking forward to get them :D Several people has reported this "...
