This is a design choice. I let the camera stand in standby ready to deliver an image in the HTTP output. (This consumes CPU.) The STREAMING server on the other hand is not in standby, and therefore a delay occurs before the image is delivered. I think the delay is acceptable for the STREAMING server...

What about having alternate date formats like: Monday, May 17, 2004 or something along those lines too? That would be nice :-) I know you can have %vv for streaming video. How about some code for http web image?? I'm not sure what you are looking for here... Do you want to be able to see how many p...

Ok, the small fix is ready. All it does is to print out some error messages that were missed before. This might help me figure out what goes wrong. Download the fix here: http://www.yawcam.com/yawcam_print_ftp_error_fix.zip Install it just like an ordinary update. (See instructions here: http://www....

Renaming files
I got a mail from Thomas Schrenk who has wrote a small and efficient script that renames files. This is useful when saving image arrays. His mail describes the problem area and shows the script: Hello Magnus, today I found Yawcam when looking for a software for tracking a corner in my house basement...

I'm sorry to hear that Yawcam doesn't work so well for you. As you say this can be a memory issue. Yawcam doesn't need so much diskspace (around 26 Mb) but it needs a lot of memory. I don't know exactly how much. (It depends on the settings in Yawcam) Try to reduce the image size and see if this mak...

Yes, it might be the username, but it shouldn't ;-) Right now I'm making a small fix that should print more error messages in the console when something goes wrong in the ftp upload. Perhaps this will help us figure out what goes wrong... I'll publish the fix here in the forum in a few days. Perhaps...

I have heard some people say that this works for them (just like for you), but this definitely doesn't work for me. I don't know why. Maybe it's just my NAT-box that sucks. Anyway, I'll see if I can figure out something good to write in the FAQ about this... Thanx for your interest in Yawcam! /malun

Thanx! By the debug print you sent me, it looks like you start Yawcam automatically hidden to the traybar. Are there any difference if you don't start in hidden mode at startup? When you get a black preview window... What happens if you close it, disable all output types, wait 6 seconds, and then op...
