New Install, startup hangs on "loading device"

New install on Windows 10 w/ a Logitech webcam. Can't get past "loading device" on splash screen. Tried updating java, updating Logitech drivers, rebooting, starting the app w/ webcam unplugged, all with no success. Any other ideas?

Maybe your settings have changed. Try running Yawcam as an administrator.

Right-Click on the Yawcam icon, select "Run as Administrator".

Tried that too. No luck.

Find the ".yawcam" folder, typically, it's in "C:\Users\%username%\".
Rename the folder to something else such as ".YawcamOld", then try starting Yawcam again.

Basically, if the settings are corrupted somehow, this will bypass that. If it loads after doing that, just set your settings as you want them and get rid of the ".YawcamOld" folder. If it doesn't work, then you can revert the folder back to ".yawcam".

No luck. Still gets stuck on "Loading device".

Maybe this might offer some insight, give it a try...

- Run the following batch file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Yawcam\debug_start.bat

- Click Yes to allow UAC permission

- Yawcam should start...

- Exit/Close Yawcam

- Examine the newly created log file for possible issue(s):

C:\Users\account_name\Desktop\yawcam_debug_log.txt

- and/or post a redacted version of this log for the experts here.

Starting from the debug batch file completely fixed the issue for some reason. Didn't even have to open and review the log file that was generated.
