Camera detection problem

Post by Roberto »

Hello

After reading very good reviews on Yawcam I proceeded to install it on my Pentium IIII.

I am using an AVerTV Hybrid + FM PCI card with a video camera plugged into the card video socket.

Yawcam_beta_2006-05-17 will not detect the camera (or videocard) in auto cam detect mode nor in manual detect mode.

Has anyone had similar problems with the AVerTV card? If so, can it be solved?

Help will be most welcome.

Thanks,
Jimmy.

A workaround that has been proven to work before is to first start another software that uses the TV-card, and then start Yawcam. This might help Yawcam find your webcam.

Webcam detection

I too have the same problem - BUT I do NOT have any other video capture devices. So, how do I find a workaround?
