Help! Ftp temp file problem

Post by Skybluemornings »

Hello,

When I attempt to enable my ftb I get the message 'Could not Save Temporary File! Check that the directory C:\programfiles\yawcam\tmp exists. '

Well it does. Can I change the temp file for the ft to get around this? Or have I simply done something stupid?

Thankyou :)

Can't write to C:\Program Files\Yawcam\tmp

I'm having the same problem trying to FTP images. I think the problem is that a limited user can't write to c:\program files\yawcam\tmp. Unfortunately, the computer will almost always be using the limited user account.

Is there a way to change the default local folder for FTP? It MUST be a folder that anyone can write to.

Assuming you use Windows Vista,
Try to change the properties of the start-up icon on your desktop.
-> Run Yawcam as an administrator
  • Right-click on the Yawcam icon on you desktop.
  • Select Properties.
  • Click the Compatibility tab.

    Image
  • Under Compatibility Mode, check the Run this in compatibility mode for checkbox and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the dropdown.
  • Check the option Execute this program as an administrator
  • Click OK.
  • Dubbel click the Yawcam icon to start the program.
  • You will be prompted by the "Windows Vista UAC".
Click Toestaan (Allow the installation procedure to start)
This might help.
