Oh no, another newbie!!!

Hello,

First, thanks for making Yawcam available. What a great program!

I apologize if this question has been previously answered. I've searched a bit and still don't quite get it.

I set up Yawcam with my Logitech web cam. I was able to get the FTP mode working without a hitch. I host a website on a server that is not the machine where the webcam is installed. I use the FTP mode to send an image once every second from the machine where the webcam is installed to the server hosting the website. In the HTML on the hosting server I include the following:

<meta http-equiv=refresh content=1>
<meta http-equiv=expires content=0>

and

<img width=320 height=240 id="_x0000_i1025" src=theband.jpg alt="the band video" border=0 align=center>

to display the image theband.jpg which is updated every second.

This works fine, but what I would really like is 15 images a second, not one a second. I'm trying to understand how the Http and Stream options work. It looks like these options provide a way for users to view the webcam directly from the machine where the webcam is installed. (Do I have that right?) For bandwidth reasons, I'd like to send out 15 images a second from the machine where the webcam is installed to the server hosting the website. That server will be better able to handle multiple user requests to view the video. Is this possible with Yawcam? If so, could someone provide or point me to details on how to implement this?

Thanks again,

sugaree
