Bug in the applet

Post by mattias »

Hi,

Great software :D
This is exactly what we have been looking for!
Ofcourse there is always something more to want..

But first one bug we have found.
We are using the streaming function, and everything works perfectly for some minutes. The server part works perfectly, but the client applet freezes the image (everything without the clock that changes).

Do you think that you can fix that easily?? :D

Hmm... This shouldn't be able to happen

After the image has freezed:
1) Is the image in the preview window still alive?
2) Can you take snapshots from the capture window?

I'll look into it and see what I can find...

Hehe, That's my standard answer :)

After the image freezed:
1) The preview window is still alive
2) The capture window, which one is that?

The program crashed now, and it does not want to start up again... so I'll restart the computer and try again...

I have some log-files that the program created that I will send later.

The capture window, is almost the same as the preview window...
You can open it from the menu in the main window. ( window -> capture )

Those log files sound like interesting reading. I'm looking forward to get them :D

Several people has reported this "freeze bug", and now I'm starting to get an idea of what's causing it. I'm sorry to say that I don't have any solution yet, but I'm working on it...
A temporary solution could be to reduce the image size and the image quality.

I'm trying to fix it, but it may take some time...

I'll look at the preview window later :-)
I tried to reduce the image size and quality before, and that made it more stable. But it freezed after a while any way.

Here's one of the log files:

This "freeze bug" has to do with memory problems. I'm not sure I will be able to fix it in a decent time. Sorry.
